But, I still won. As I reported a few weeks ago, another great virtualization website, based out of Massachusetts, Server Virtualization: Covering today’s Server Virtualization topics, was holding a contest for your dream virtualization environment. In my post, “What is your Dream Virtual Enviroment?”, I laid out the method I would use with two Apple systems, both running virtualization software allowing me to never be far from running any application. Here is a recap of my madness:
My Entry:
In an ideal setup I would have 2 systems, a nice ultra light 12″ intel based macbook laptop for ultra portable applications. This laptop would have OSX 10.5, with bootcamp dual booting to an external firewire drive holding Vista and XP. When I arrive home I would have a nice dual quad core (8 cores total) Mac Pro, also running 10.5, which I could plug the firewire drive right into and boot into OSX or bootcamp. When I have it loaded into OSX I would have the dual 30″ screens 1 with OSX and 1 with Parallels XP/Vista, This would allow me to build and debug websites in the ultimate machine. Someday my dream will come true, where applications will be truely universal, until then I’m stuck writting on this silly dell laptop waiting to be rich.
The amazing news is, that apparently I’m not the only one with the dream, or atleast maybe the only one to submit it. Because I won. Yeah it isn’t good to brag, but this is my first milestone as a web blogger. For a technology I didn’t even understand a year ago, to be chosen as the most imaginative and creative use of the technology shows an impressive growth in my interests in Virtualization. So here is the proof:

Don’t worry that code is already altered. If you read the code, it is: “tsetonc eht now barb” which is the reversee of “Brad Won The Contest”, I replaced the code, with my own cypher.
